Description
Commission for
The Inquisitor Zayel - it is the first piece of a large tryptich about her interesting OCs Zayel and the Heretic Darius from a roleplaying game.
You can find more art of Zayel (and Darius) here: aetheldeviant.deviantart.com/f…
I tried out a cool/pale color palette for this tryptich, since I thought it would just work perfectly with Zayel's "icy" presence, look and personality
To follow are a portrait of Darius and an illustration with the two of them interacting
Enjoy and share thoughts

This portrait has a calming, ethereal quality to it. The use of lighting near the top makes the progression to the darker grays near the bottom more apparent. Details on the wings and ornaments are just enough so as not to overpower the focus of the painting--this lovely Inquisitor. Even the stained glass window in the background makes a nice frame.
The eyes are especially well-done, both strong and beautiful. Perhaps this Inquisitor is not to be trifled with? The gaze is certainly a striking one! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>
Overall, a beautiful portrait! I'm looking forward to seeing more artwork of this character. ^__^
