This is an illustration for my fantasy story Terra Aluvis. It shows symbolically the conflict my main character Sacris Faryen is driven into by the Lunid Jerome.
The bleeding wound on his chest (two crossing sickles) is the symbol of his painful past. The rest is self-explanatory.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis will be my first critique. I will try to stay objective, since your work is something I am really into myself.
The mask is the detail that got my attention.
It seems it is broken on present and past, the life that is being affected by the dark, misty but beautiful shadow. The tear would also fit the wound on his chest, that has been described as a reminder on his painful past.
Second mask is also something that questions the figure at the right and the cloudy look. Here I am questioning how it is really affecting the main character? It has a gentle touch, beautiful shape of face but the mystical look with the mask is raising many questions.
My attention was also cough by the red color combined with dark. I respect and encourage the use of only few colors that many people tend to run away from. That gives it the great composition.
Amazing use of colors and contrast that shapes the face of seductive shadow.
