EDIT: Added plants to the foreground grass, added brighter hair reflections and brightened the sky.
EDIT#2: Worked over the teeth and the mouth.
This is another illustration for my fantasy story Terra Aluvis. The scene takes place at a lake. The young king, Sacris Faryen, is simply trying to relax while taking a bath in the cool water after an exhausting day. The Lunid Jerome decides spontaneously to take advantage of the fact that he is off guard.
In the back there is a woman, Nadja, who is out there for a nice evening walk. Being confronted with those two men together, she freezes in shock, as she completely misunderstands the circumstances.
It was quite fun to draw - it's very rare that my main character, Sacris, gets into such a desperate situation
Anyway: the water reflections really killed my nerves ...!

" title="SelfTaughtArtist" /> because your piece was in the group's critique requested folder. )This piece stood out from the gallery instantly for me, mainly because of how fantastic the lighting is. The background is beautiful, and really brings this piece alive - I absolutely suck at background work myself, so I really admire artists that put so much effort into them.
As for the characters themselves, the shading and colouring are great. They really do look wet! And that hair - wow. The only thing I could possibly fault with them is perhaps the anatomy - their bodies are very long. This may just be a stylisation though, and doesn't detract from the piece overall.
Anyway, all in all, this is a wonderful, sensual piece of art with a lot of work put into it. Great stuff. :3
